The line for medication is extremely slow. They need to do something to speed it up!
Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. They dont make you feel less due to poor choices and the counselors are available even when you are on vacation.
This clinic is awesome and they do their jobs!! Hats off to Daisy, who ain't even my counselor but who IS oh so great she's like my new counselor and to a Sandy who is my counselor and is so awesome and has saved my life numerous times then there's Fran and Heather who also shine! Sharron who's gone and started it all! Also Jeff, Mary and Erika who are at the window and dose us with humor and a smile everyday. Those nurses really know their stuff. Then Christina who's a counselor also who I absolutely love too. She's helped me thru more times then I can talk about and she's also not even my counselor. See this is a great place!!!! The counselors all are helpful. Update: I've now been off methadone for over 3 months and i'm doing GREAT!! i couldn't have done it without this clinic. I know that people want to get on here and bash this place but for real for real, the reason it don't work is because you didn't want it to work. I got off methadone because it will not define me!!! I wasn't on dope forever so there's no need to be on methadone for ever. Dr. Jameson is a freak of nature!! this man will remember every client by name an face even after meeting them one time!! he never forgets your name an so that there shows that he cares!!! imagine how many people come and go in there an he's able to do that. My counselors from Sha'rron, to Mrs. Sandy B. to Daisy ALL were the reason I was able to get out of this clinic. Also Rob runs a great Stress Management group every wednesday that is a must attend at least once I suggest. I totally helped me with my anger issues. Christina has a LGBT group every other friday that's also Great too!!! There is no judgements in this place at all! And then there's the Art group run by Lee every Tuesday and I believe Fridays that is full of cool characters that i've grown to call FAMILY! SO there's something for everyone. When not attending group I was able to utilize EVERY COUNSELOR in there for any concerns or needs. I talked to EVERYONE of them weekly if not daily when there. But ultimately it was my Counselor Daisy who was the most instrumental in getting me to where i am today!! SHE'S A GODSEND!!! I was truly blessed to have had her guiding me to my new found freedom of being opiate free!! What they may not have know was that I did so because I stole knowledge from every one of them. I was able to make a connection with each counselor in there and it was because of them ALL that i was able to grow an not depend on methadone for the rest of my life. From the first day i walked in and Mrs. Fran did my intake, who by the way is by far the most pleasant face you'll want to encounter when coming into an environment like this, she made every visit great with her hands on caring attitude and oversized smile!!!!. To Heather who always knew when i was not in a good head space and would take time out of her day to talk to me, then there's my "Wonder Twins" who would always have a smile for me as we debated baseball The Orioles and the Yankees!!!!! It was all these little personal touches that made my day go by great!!! I know that i've left a few names off the list but you all know who you are and did a phenomenal job. From the cashiers, Mrs. T, to the nurses, to ALL THE STAFF!!!! AGAIN I THANK YOU ALL!!! It's because of you that i'm clean today still!!! So take out of it what you put into it. IT's not the place that's failing you, it's yourself!! If i had any advice for the newcomer, Don't get into any of the drama of the line people!!! Every place has it's bad seeds, but never allow that to interfere with your getting an staying clean. Don't allow others to suck you into their downward spiral!!! THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THAT YOU"VE DONE FOR ME!!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!
This place is amazing!! Gave me my life back! I love my counselor! The nurses are friendly.
This place has given me my life back showing me that I don't need to be getting high to live. My counselor Christina and a lot of the old account are wonderful. They don't care about the money they care about their patient. I know of many times but I didn't have money to pay and they let me charge it till the next day. They also take insurance which helps a lot. I would recommend them to anybody and everybody if you are fighting with the addiction of drugs please give him a call. Thank you haters Town Treatment Center you saved my life.
Contrary to other reviews, HTC's main objective is NOT to just collect money; if it was, they would be accepting unlimited number of admissions rather than having a waitlist. However, people should keep in mind that at the end of the day this is a legitimate business; without the money collected from patients and insurance companies, this treatment facility would NOT be an option for anyone!! I have been a patient for a little over 3 years, and just as with any other business or medical practice, there have been some good things, as well as some frustrating things I have experienced. Unfortunately, since my admission I have consistently been stuck with counselors that were basically worthless; didn't complete their paperwork, never allowed for take homes or phase advancements, were nice one day & threatening your recovery and treatment the next, and all who have ultimately moved on/who are no longer at HTC. Has this been extremely frustrating, HELL YES!!! Do I hold the shortcomings of those few counselors against HTC, NO!! With 1,000 patients, HTC hired people who they thought would be a good fit, but just like any other businesses; sometimes that doesn't always work out!! HOWEVER, I genuinely do feel as thou all of the 'Bad Seeds' are now gone, and I am BLESSED to FINALLY have Daisy as my actual counselor, rather than just the counselor I turned to when mine weren't doing their jobs properly!! I know in my heart, Daisy will be my LAST counselor during my treatment at HTC. Just as with the 'bad seeds' in counselors, there was a time where HTC had a shortage of Nursing Staff. During this time, there were times patients could walk in with NO line, and other times where there was a 1.5-3 hour wait! Within the past 6 months, I can honestly say the Longest I have waited in line is 20 mins & that was a day the computers were down and the nursing staff was forced to use Hand Pumps for manual dosing. I do wish that HTC offered more of the groups that they used to; for patients that genuinely do want to receive treatment & build the necessary skills needed to remain sober once they leave HTC, those groups were a great resource. Now, there are the educational & introduction groups required for all new patients, along with the Art group which is the Favorite by all patients & in 3 years, I have NEVER been able to attend personally because it is always FULL!! There are a couple other random groups here and there, but nothing like the group schedule was when I began; Relapse Prevention, Anger Management, Stress Management, LGBTQ, Art Group, Healthy Choices, Parenting, Pregnancy & Methadone, and they even did a Child/Parent group a couple of times for patients with children. Having Children is a common reason why patients were unable to attend groups because children (even newborns) weren't permitted in the groups. Personally, I felt those groups were a great resource but I haven't picked up a group schedule in months because of the limited selection. Having the groups as a requirement for phases was a little much because it forced patients that didn't really want to attend them to have to attend, which caused tensions and distractions at times. However, many of the regular attendees of the groups actually attended weekly because they enjoyed them, not because it was mandatory! There has also been a few Program Directors as well; However, the current director Sandy is EXACTLY what HTC has needed all along!! She has an open door policy, genuinely cares about the patients and staff & has implemented positive changes at HTC!! Sandy asks for & genuinely wants HONEST feedback from patients!! She has hosted a patient appreciation 'party', a Christmas 'party' for the children of patients & tries to make all holidays fun, with a peaceful & uplifting atmosphere. HTC has CHANGED MY LIFE & is the reason I am no longer using drugs; I am becoming a better ME, which wouldn't be possible without HTC. I look at the BIG PICTURE; I went thru some challenging times at HTC, but the treatment I get now is SO WORTH IT!! The Good has outweighed the Bad!
This place save me and my son I was on drugs for 12yrs and I had to get the help I needed to save me and my son and my other 2 kids bc I was going to that black hole where I did not won't to be at but now am doing great I got all 3kids and the baby is 11months old now doing great and am the healthiest I have ever been now i would tell ppl to go here to get help they are making it bigger and better....... God bless you all
This place helped give me my life back that drugs had taken from many years ago. I can only say great things about this place. If you know you have to be somewhere by a certain time leave early don't wait til the last minute. And then expect to get in. If you show up at a store after closing they wont let you in either.
I have had a great experience so far with Hagerstown Treatment Center. My counselor Keerstie has made this time with my recovery so much more rewarding as she has helped me see things in a positive light. Helped me set and meet attainable goals for myself and I have a new found positivity for my own recovery and future!! Thank you so much Keerstie for helping me be a better mother, wife, and friend.
I've been here for three years almost and when I first started coming it was a lil ridiculous with the wait and some staff were a waste of time ,, but I think that it has gotten so much better. There's hardly ever a wait now and they seem to be keeping nurses better.
This clinic is awesome and they do their jobs!! The counselors all are helpful. And then there is the new director Sandy who has really turned this place around. With the help of,a kickass staff of counselors and regional director Rachel they both have really is the place to be. And as far as all the former clients saying that this place only cares about your money, well that's a lie too. It's funny how when this place was helping them they weren't saying that. But now that you got kicked out of here you all have shady stuff to say. I pray those reading this are smart enough to know the difference and can figure out a lie is a lie. What I'd say is that if you have to go to this clinic give it a chance and let them help you.
Hagerstown Treatment center is a great place to come to for Opioid addiction. They have for the most part wonderful and helpful staff. Daisy is a wonderful counselor who not only helps her patients but others as well. They offer several services all included in one price and except several insurances. Overall it's the best treatment center in the Tri-state area

Hagerstown Treatment Center. This place not only SAVED MY LIFE, it turned my life around 100%!!!!! I have been in other treatment centers and failed time and time again. HTC has this great friendly environment that makes it easy to go into and do what you need to do to become a success. It needs to be made clear its not just the medicine. The staff, all of them! Dr. Jameson has many patients but he knew me by my name ... Not my number... And he ALWAYS said hello to me asked me how I was doing and if I needed anything. The nurses are nice too they want to see each patient become a success! Jeff is always a delight to see at the window, he always makes sure to make me smile, and Mary she loves to play little jokes on you to brighten your day. Even down to the cashiers just great happy people and if you had a question they would be sure to guide you in the right direction, or Fran she is I believe the financial coordinator even she takes a second just to say hello and smile. Now to some people these things that I'm saying may not sound like much... But to me as a former user a simple smile, or a pat on the back, especially a big hello from someone who remembered your name meant a whole lot. I mean enough to make that smile and happiness spread from my day to another, and so on. It means everything when that smile could be the smile that changed the mind of a user who had decided they had no reason to go on... HTC's environment is light and happy. You can feel It when you go inside.... As long as you follow the rules. You will do well there. The counselors I know they all work very hard with as many patients that they have and the amount of work they must do with each and every patient they still get the job done! Lee known as the "ART" counselor he is awesome and brings some young, hip and very cool vibes to the place and he does the art classes and makes them fun and that's always a good time!!! I feel that I need to give a very special Thank You to my counselor Daisy Spann, she worked with me when I was going through some particularly rough times, she calmed me down when I needed to be calm, she slowed me down when I was over thinking things, and getting freaked out a little. Daisy did everything that my "counselor" was supposed to do and just so much more. I achieved more than I ever though I could with her guidance. I will continue to seek it whenever I feel it necessary. With her help and my hard work I was able to achieve take home medications. So I now only come in 2 times a month. I miss seeing her as much but I worked hard to get where I am and I'm proud of myself. I can most definitely say that I would not be where I am without her. She is the A#1 BEST counselor that I have EVER HAD! I'm 38 so yes I have been through quite a few lol... I stand by that though. I know she has done her schooling and gotten her certifications... None of that to me compares to the straight up one on one sit down shoot from the hip talk she has given me. She is very educated and knows her stuff that's for sure. She's well qualified if not over qualified for her position and she is always on point! Ok I'm rambling... I recommend HAGERSTOWN TREATMENT CENTER to anyone who has a need for treatment I do so all the time. I will continue to do so from now on....again THIS PLACE CHANGED MY LIFE... AND IF YOU NEED HELP... IT CAN CHANGE YOURS!!!!!
I enjoying coming to work and interacting with patients. I also like that we have a good team and show great teamwork. I know at any time I need assistance anyone of my co-workers will help. The best part about the job is seeing patients become positive and seeing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Received excellent care. Equate nearly same as Chambersburg Summithealth Hospital (though weird thing is Waynesboro Summithealth hospital is one the worst hospitals). They are efficient and staff extremely helpful),
I'm thankful for it but the wait and line is just ridiculous. Constantly losing staff so the patients suffer because of it. It just needs to upgrade a little bit and give the staff and patients what they need.
I do not know why this hospital has a 2.7 star rating. I was there a week ago. As hurtful as it is to say this, the reason that I was there was to deliver my still born baby girl. Lauren, Shelley, and Erin which are the main names I remember and hopefully I didn't mistaken their names; they were just absolutely amazing. They showed that they cared and felt my loss. My boyfriend and I are always trying to keep our conversations going so we can keep our mind off what we were about to experience. We mostly got to talk to Lauren and got to know her a bit and she truly showed a lot of interest in whatever we had to say. Same with miss Shelley, she was a sweetheart and was ALWAYS very helpful and patient. Erin was absolutely incredible considering it was my first time ever going into labor. She was kind of quiet, but not to the point where she ignored us or anything. She still showed sympathy in her own way. I appreciate EVERYTHING that every single one of the nurses and doctors did for me even though I don't remember everyone's names. I am grateful and thankful to how everything went in the time that I spent there. Pretty soon I will be stopping by to give them my thanks and hopefully do something real nice for them.Thank you again if anyone of you is reading this. They were truly amazing and helpful.
